After more than two decades of training, rehabilitating and educating athletes from all over the world, a Russian sports scientist, coach and teacher residing in America, Dr. Nicholas Romanov founded the Romanov Academy of Sports Science to extend his teaching and counseling to the ever growing number of his devoted followers.
The Academy eventually became Pose Tech Corporation.
Pose Tech Corporation is a sports educational company specializing in teaching technique through the Pose MethodTM developed by Dr. Romanov. Applicable to all sports, it is getting to be widely accepted as the method to learn the most efficient movement, promising to become the staple of the industry. Currently, the company works extensively with triathlon events: running, cycling, and swimming.
Having served as a member of USA Triathlon Coaching Committee from 1996-2002, Dr. Romanov has worked with some of the best American athletes with great success. In 1999 he was invited to work with the British Triathlon Team to prepare their athletes for the 2000 Olympics in Sydney. His triathlete Tim Don took 10th place after being 57th in the world. His latest achievement with the British team was Leanda Cave winning the World Cup in Triathlon in Cancun in November 2002, as well as Andrew Johns winning 3rd place among men, while working as a head coach now. Today, he oversees training for several other world class athletes.
To teach the method, the company sells an hour-long educational video Pose Method of Running with a companion book of exercises (25 p.). A new booklet, Dr. Nicholas Romanov's Hips & Hamstring Strength Conditioning Exercises (70 p.), helps athletes develop specific muscle groups to adapt easier to the new running technique.
A first and founding book in a series behind the Method: Dr. Nicholas Romanov's Pose Method of Running (335 p.), representing his 25 years of research and development, is the company's best-seller.
Dr. Romanov conducts clinics and seminars all over the world, including the US, Mexico, Great Britain, Canada, Australia and South Africa in association with sport clubs, national governing bodies, and universities. He teaches athletes his training theories, the Pose Method, and injury prevention and rehabilitation. He regularly certifies new coaches who proceed to assist him at his clinics.

Dr. Romanov participated in scientific research conducted by different sports scientists at the USA Olympic Training Center (Colorado Springs) in 1997, at Florida Atlantic University (Boca Raton, FL) in 1998-2001, at Sheffield Hallam University (Great Britain) in 2001, at Kubansky State University (Krasnodar, Russia) in 2002, and at Cape Town University (South Africa) in 2002 with Tim Noakes. Some of them have already defended their dissertations on the soundness of the Pose Method. An article on the latest research conducted at Cape Town University by a team of researchers under professor Tim Noakes, the author of the Lore of Running , will be submitted to the Medicine and Science in Sports and Exercise magazine later this month.
Dr. Romanov regularly speaks at various coaching conferences and was an invited speaker at Pan American Triathlon Coaching Conference in Edmonton, Canada, at British Triathlon Coaching Clinic in Loughborough, England, and at UK Sports World Class Coaching Conference in Birmingham, England, last year.
