Work Out Like The Stars - Running

One of the best workouts for fat-blasting is as easy as putting one foot in front of the other. Aim to get your heart rate into its "training zone"—beating at 60‚75 percent of its maximum (roughly 220 minus your age, but check with your doctor to be sure) for at least 20 minutes. There are no special skills or instructions for running. You can do it virtually anywhere. And you can go it alone or hook up with friends.
Who's doing it Sheryl Crow stays rock-solid at 40 by running the paths of L.A.'s Runyon Canyon, high in the Hollywood Hills. Take a jog on the six-mile asphalt loop in New York's Central Park, and you might catch a glimpse of Madonna mid-workout. Renée Zellweger has run races on both coasts.
Do it yourself New York City trainer Pat Manocchia teaches his clients the technique of Nicholas Romanov, Ph.D., who trains Olympic athletes. Romanov's video is called The Pose Method of Running ($25; 877-767-3832 or posetech.com).
