What is technique?
What is TECHNIQUE? According to dictionary.com it is:
  • the manner and ability with which an artist, writer, dancer, athlete, or the like employs the technical skills of a particular art or field of endeavor
  • method of performance; way of accomplishing
  • technical skill; ability to apply procedures or methods so as to effect a desired result
  • the way in which a (usually skilled) process is, or should be, carried out
  • the body of specialized procedures and methods used in any specific field
techno - skill of doing (greek)
THERE IS TECHNIQUE FOR EVERY SPORT
There is and always was a technique for every sport discipline and other movement disciplines like ballet, karate or dancing, etc. It is universally agreed on, that mastering any of these endeavors, requires extensive involvement of intellectual and psychological efforts structuring fundamental movement, creating mental imagery and perfecting repetitive motions. The technique is considered of paramount importance to these disciplines.

At the same time, we're expected to believe that running, perhaps the most essentially human movement of all, requires no technical training.
NO TECHNIQUE FOR RUNNING UNTIL RECENT YEARS
How running became an unloved and a neglected foster child of the sports while being an obsession of millions is a paradox.

But luckily the trends have changed in the recent years. Several running techniques have been introduced one after the other starting with the Pose Method of Running in 1997 when the first video on running technique was released by Dr.Romanov.
POSE TECHNIQUES [More Info]
Pose Method is a way of movement. It can be applied to all sports. While some disciplines are still only in theory, many have been already developed and succesfully implemented, and some got already published.
