Hi Michael,

Nike Free were discussed on our forums and Dr.Romanov doesn't recommend them because compare to all other lightweight shoes we list here, these have a serious heel. If you compare for example Puma H street or Asics Hyper Paw to Nike Free you will see the difference because it's that obvious. Bottom line, Nike frees are still far away from a good running shoe.

Dear Dr. Romanov

I am of course aware of the fact that you cannot mention all lightweight shoes available. But I am somewhat curious : why have you not mentioned Nike Free? Wouldn't you say they are considerably closer to running barefoot than most of the other shoes mentioned. Do you find these shoes inappropiate for running - and if so; for what reason?
Sincerely, Michael
