Click here to return to the main page The Pose Running technique goes against everything traditionally taught about running - accordingly, the running shoes suitable for it are not your traditional stably cushioned clunkers.

What kind of shoes are suitable for running? Dr.Romanov recommends wearing lightweight shoes with thinner soles. Browse through the selection below to read some posted reviews, to get a better idea of what you need and find the right running shoes for you!

Mizuno Wave® Universe™ 2 Unisex (Discontinued)

New year - new favorite shoe! Check this one out - it's light and comfortable with more room for toes than H street offers. Excellent running shoe. Feels and fits very well and actually is better than Puma H street which was until now the most popular shoe among Pose runners. Mizuno however is a much better shoe, it offers better perception during the support phase... the sole even has the ball of foot outlined. Get this one!

READ/POST REVIEWS

The mizuno is actually very running shoe like that feel just like a normal racing flat would when walking, but once you start running you really do feel the ground and ball of foot with great perception. Great shoe even for some trail running and in the rain.

I've run in a lot of Pose shoes (Asics Hyper Paw, Puma H Street, Asics Tai Chi, Puma Saloh, Nike Zoom Forever, Nike Waffle Racer).

I've been running in Mizuno Wave Universe 2's for 2 months and they blow all of the above out of the water in terms of comfort, perception, durability, etc.

I went for a good 4 miler with my Mizuno Wave U-2s. What a great shoe! I really have no complaints. I was actually able to perceive and correct a slight technique error that I hadn't noticed in my other shoes.

While the "wave" technology in the thin heal may seem a little "anti-Pose", it doesn't matter when you are running, and it is actually kind of nice if you have to stop and walk.

I ordered the new Mizunos and ran a 1/2 marathon in them on Sunday. I had a PR with a 1:35 and a negative split! The shoes felt good, they feel more like a 'real shoe' than the H streets. I will continue to run in H streets but will definetely use the Mizunos for wet or hilly runs, the traction is much better.
