SPECIALTY:

I Joined the United States Air Force in 1999. When the Air Force changed there Physical Training (PT) policies in 2004 I found myself running three times a week. Shortly after the policies were implemented I started suffering from shin splints. I dreaded running because all it resulted in was pain. I was prescribed multiple pain killers and anti-inflammatories. When the pain was too much to bear I was given permission to not participate in running activities for 60 days at a time. During the 60 day profile I would stretch and do the exercises recommended by my doctors. After the 60 days, I would be back to the usual mandatory 3 day PT sessions. In a matter of weeks the shin splints would return.

Finally, I stopped looking for answers in shoes and stretches and started looking into running techniques. I soon learned it wasn’t the shoes, it was me. I didn’t know how to run properly. It wasn’t long before I came across Dr. Nicholas Romanov’s Pose Method of Running. Pose Running got me on track and running like I was suppose to run.

Since running Pose my shin splints have healed and never returned. Running for me now is a pastime that I enjoy and look forward to. I know that there are countless others out there as frustrated as I was with overuse injuries. I want to pass on what I’ve learned while constantly trying to increase my own understanding of the Pose method.
