Belinda "Bee" Eschenwald combined her skills in business and talent as an athlete to build a career helping other athletes reach their greatest potential.

Bee has been coaching multi-sport athletes individually since 2002 and, after training with Dave Scott, she has helped more than 100 novice athletes achieve some very impressive goals in the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society's Team in Training (TNT) program.

For years Bee coached swimming at Irvine Novaquatics were she trained and developed kids in the 8 and under division. While there, she studied under Dave Salo, Head Coach of Nova and the USA Olympic Coach in 2000 & 2004, where she learned that every workout must have a purpose and that in order to get results, you don't need to do excessive yardage.

Bee also coached Volleyball for Neuman College in Pennsylvania in 1990 and for Saddleback College in California in 1991.

In addition to her BA in International Business from California State University, Fullerton, Bee has several certifications including ASCA (The American Swimming Coaches Association) Level One Coach, CPR, Water Safety, and Spinning Instructor by Johnny G. She also teaches spinning classes for www.OCBootcamp.com.

Bee was coached by Joe Friel associate, Gordo Byrn, for 3 years. As a pupil of Mr. Byrn, Bee learned that through hard work, persistence and a progressive approach to training, breakthroughs in performance are inevitable. Her Ironman race results prove that with the right plan and attitude anyone can achieve their goals

Bee's athletic career began at St. Elizabeth High School in Wilmington, Delaware where she built a reputation as a star volleyball player. She was named to the All-Catholic and All-State teams and she was selected MVP in both her junior and senior years. She went on to play volleyball for Wilmington College where she was also named MVP her sophomore, junior and senior years and to the All-American team her senior year.

Bee's running career started in 1991. She has competed in countless 10k races, ½ marathons and marathons, including the Boston Marathon in 1999. She completed a few sprint triathlons in 1990 & 1991 and got back into racing in 1999 when she signed up for the Vineman ½ Ironman. She was hooked. She then went on to do her first Ironman in 2000 and felt she had found her athletic challenge.

GOOD AND BAD HABITS IN RUNNING by Dr.Romanov
Habit is "a tendency to act in a certain way or to do a certain things; usual way of acting" as it described in Thorndike-Barnhart Student Dictionary (Harper Collins Publishers, 1992, p.496). Our habits are part of our life, influencing our lives to an extreme level in the good and bad direction. We fall into the habit of doing things not because they are good for us, but because we or somebody else got us into the habit of doing it. Click here to read full article »
