I am a competitive age group triathlete - after completing Ironman World Championships in Hawaii in October of 2005 I found myself struggling with Achilles tendonitis - I realized that something had to change if I was going to continue to pursue this sport and reach my goals. Pain-free running seemed like a good place to start.
I first learned about the Pose Method in a British triathlon magazine - I was intrigued and immediately bought the book - read it - then ordered the DVD. I began by trying to teach myself the method using the book and the DVD - I also did some investigation into Chi Running and Evolution Running - after weighing my options I decided that I wanted to become a Pose Certified coach.
I recently spent a weekend with an extremely talented group at the Pose Method certification clinic in Miami Florida - we were very honoured to have Jack Becker (the Pose Poster Boy) in our midst. It has been a long time since I felt so inspired. As a result of that weekend I have changed the way I think about all movement - not only running but swimming, biking, stretching, weightlifting and even yoga. I will continue to study with Dr. Romanov as he expands his repertoire to include a triathlon coaching certification.
Pose is a very simple concept but it requires discipline and hard work to master it - if you have the necessary dedication and apply it you will become a more relaxed, happier, injury-free and of course a faster runner.
Dr. Romanov you are a genius.
