In 1999 I started doing triathlons. Not much later I began looking for ways to improve my performance. I gradually learned more and more about traditional physiology, training methods, swimming technique.
Despite my knowledge and training I didn't improve my racing times and got several injuries. Furthermore as a running coach of recreational and competitive runners I saw the same trouble happening with my runners. Something about the existing methods must be terribly wrong was my only valid conclusion.
In 2003 I found posetech.com and got interested. After following a workshop on Pose by Wouter Buist (another Pose Certified Running coach) and Ivar Brinkman I ordered the video and the book, watched and read it in one day and was completely convinced that Pose Method was the only right way to correct technique.
When Dr.Romanov visited The Netherlands last year, I attended his clinic and was astonished by his intellectual and communicative capacities. As an industrial engineer the logic of Dr Romanov's method and his system's theory perspective immediately attracted me.

After the clinic and only 4 months of work with Pose I crushed my PB's on all distances. Until today I haven't had any injuries and still keep improving my form and times.
I now work with two talented athletes, former 2nd and 3rd in 5000 meter at the Dutch Junior National Championships. These athletes became gravely injured 3 years ago and despite the doctors told them they could never run again, after a few months working with them they now run without injuries.
This year we are aiming to improve their PB's in 800 to 3000 meters and next year to get them back, by Pose, to where they once belonged, the Dutch top of 5-10 K running.
The coaching clinic in The Netherlands in March 2006, was without doubt one of the finest and most valuable times of my life. I got inspired so much by the incredible knowledge of Dr. Romanov and the energy provided by his son Severin and my coaching colleagues.
Pose Method is not only about running, it is about movement and change in a journey which is called Life.

STUITEREND OF VALLEND OP PAD by Cors Van Den Brink
