- Pose Method® Certified Running Coach Level I
|
I have been participating in Triathlon since 1999 with mostly unremarkable results. I have not completed a full season without suffering lower leg injuries that forced me to stop running for periods from 1 week to 9 weeks.
I thought there must be a better way. I felt I had a fairly good running technique but why was I breaking down all the time. It gave me the shits…..
I have sought advice wherever possible and from anyone I thought would be able to help me. I have had orthotics twice (yes I was that stupid), have done most of the typical prescribed physio exercises, had various forms of acupuncture, frequency specific micro current therapy, ultrasound, massage, stretching, blah - blah - blah. Familiar pattern to a lot of circa 40yr old runners I'm sure. The costs and lack of long term results combined to frustrate me immensely and question whether I was just one of the unlucky ones destined for the couch.
During yet another injury plagued race preparation I searched the internet (again) and discovered the POSETECH Website. What the hell may as well give this one a go.
I bought the book and read it through 3 times during trips to and from unsuccessful races. I also bought the DVD and commenced the drills with my business partner (now POSETECH Coach)
We worked on the drills and video taped our progress. We sent our DVDs to Dr Romanov for assessment and his advice started rebuilding my confidence in running.
With my injuries now behind me I attended Dr Nicholas Romanov's POSETCH Clinic and Coaches Course where I achieved qualification as a Level 1 coach.
Dr Romanov, his son Severin and Debbie Savage were awesome.
I am confident I now possess the knowledge and skills to continue running and running and running……………
