I first learned about the Pose Running Method while investigating a career change. At that time, I had been a personal trainer for about 12 years. Although I still enjoyed working with clients, I was beginning to feel that there were greater challenges awaiting me. A few of my clients (including my wife!) had started to compete in multisport events, suggesting that I help them with their training preparation. Feeling somewhat intimidated by the process, I sought to improve my knowledge base of endurance sports. This search led me to an USA Triathlon coaching certification clinic. It was here, during discussions about run technique, that I became acquainted with Dr. Nicholas Romanov's Pose Method.

I ordered the Pose DVD, and like many, I assumed that I could easily assimilate the Pose Method into my own running style (and subsequently teach others). My interest in Pose was further enhanced by frustration with my own injury-riddled running (of late, I had been experiencing extreme calf pain). Now armed with Dr. Romanov's "secrets", I felt that painless running was only minutes away. Needless to say, that wasn't the case. The concepts of Dr. Romanov weren't simply acquired just viewing the montage of running, jumping and scientific chatter; still, I was drawn to the beauty and effortlessness of Dr. Romanov's video running form. The next step: see him in person.
Last November, I hosted a clinic and finally had the opportunity to meet Dr. Romanov. As compelling as the DVD was, Dr. Romanov was even more engaging in person. After two days of physics, anatomy, biomechanics, video analysis, drill work and short, circumspect running, I knew that I wanted to join his "band of conspiracy."
Since then, I've completed the Level 1 coaching certification, and eagerly look forward to moving up the ranks. Undoubtedly, the Pose Method is the most systematic approach to running ever developed. As my clients and athletes can attest, Pose has opened up a whole new world of possibilities and perceptions. Thank you Nicholas!

INJURY FREE RUNNING - The Alluring Promise And the Disillusioning Truth by Nicholas Romanov, Ph.D
So where does this injury free running come from? If it is so simple, why don't we get any positive results for such a long time? Injury problems in running emerged in the 70s, when the running boom hit the western world as a new fashion wave of healthy society development. It was the way out for the modern people to save themselves from self destruction through alcohol and tobacco abuse, from psychological stress of intense work and social conflicts.
