I have been participating in athletic events since I offered to race Moses down the mountain. Those tablets were heavy, so I knew I had a chance to beat him. Actually, I first heard of Dr. Romanov and the Pose Method through Joseph Friel during my triathlon days. The Pose Method has been a career saver for me. Performing "bricks" left me with a serious case of Achilles tendentious, which cleared up completely due to the application of Pose Method technique (and a little apple cider vinegar). Running is my favorite training activity (don't tell my wife or she will make me move the eleven bikes out of our living room).
By training I serve the community as a Psychologist. During my years at the University of Akron I was fortunate enough to participate in the Exercise Physiology Laboratory of Bob Gandee, Ph.D.. In the Lab, we had the pleasure of assessing and comparing the capacity of many elite athletes from different athletic specialties. The psychology of maximizing ability, performance, and training has always been of great interest to me.
Currently, I have a special interest in helping others to learn the Pose Method, especially those impacted by running injuries developed through poor running technique. Dr. Romanov is an incredible instructor and my goal is to be able to express the concepts critical to learning the Pose Method with the same clarity and applicability so easily demonstrated by Dr. Romanov in his clinics. I currently serve as a Category I Coach and hope to continue in my learning of the Pose Method. Remember-the origin of freedom in running is born in technique.
