In English :) !!
I love working with and teaching Pose Method®. When I met Dr. Romanov back around 1995, I was a mid-pack age group triathlete running a 50+ minute 10k, wearing orthotics to correct severe pronation and flat feet. I had consistent knee problems and was told by the physical therapist that was treating me that, because of the shape of my body, I could never hope to run faster than an 8 minute mile. It was disheartening to say the least. Let’s say I was not shaped like Tegla Laroupe or Marion JonesJ. Then I met Dr. R., he said “you can”, and I believe him. By 1997 I was placing, and even winning most events I entered in running and triathlon and running a 42 minute 10K. It and my association with Dr. R. were and have been the gift that keeps on giving. It must be said that I was not one of those who got it immediately, but I worked at it, got it and haven’t let go of it since.

My belief in the workings of Pose comes down to the following anecdote. During 2001-2003 I had the opportunity to work closely with Dr. R in facilitating Pose clinics all over the world, and was first-hand witness as to how Pose Method® opens the doors to running to so many people. Perhaps the most striking case was an above-the-knee amputee who attended our first clinic in Oaxaca, Mexico. He emailed me before the clinic and asked if we could help him. He was a top marathon competitor who, because of the nature of the amputation, could not wear prosthesis, so he “ran” using crutches. I asked Dr. R and he said “I think so” and his mind was already working. So I proposed to the athlete, if he found that the clinic helped him, he would pay us, if he did not get anything out, then he didn’t have to pay. It took a couple of minutes for Dr. R. to assess him, adjust his crutches so he would be in a constant “falling position”, corrected his arms/leg swing so he would stop heel striking and start landing BOF, increased his cadence and I could not believe (neither did he) how he took off like a slingshot. He paid.
