- Pose Method® Certified Running Coach Level II

Sports Technologies is a small personal training business that has been operating in the Albany, NY area for the past twelve years. The focus of the business has been body building and strength training. I intuitively knew that conventional running would deteriorate the ankle, knee and hip joints, so I avoided running. A trip to my local podiatrist confirmed my intuition when he proclaimed that running will “break the body down”. At this point I discovered triathlons.
For the past two years, triathlons have become a passion and an opportunity to grow personally and to expand the training business into swimming, biking and running.
My first exposure to POSE was a tape and a drill book. The philosophy of POSE running made sense, however, the execution of the movement eluded me until I experienced a camp with Dr. Romanov. The results were immediate, and transformed running from a dreaded part of a triathlon, to an activity that was fun.
I recently won my Age Division at the Albany Pine Bush Triathlon with a decrease in my 5k run of three minutes from the prior year’s race. The movement of running has become an expression of “forgetting the limitation of being human”. When I master the method, I feel like I am weightless, free falling in a forward direction without the pain associated with traditional running.
Training athletes has become a way for me to teach people about taking better care of them. The Pose Method®TM of Running is a technique of running based upon Science. In it’s purest form, effortless, efficient and fun. As a Scientific Method it can be broken down into various components, can be taught through drills, exercises and interval runs. I invite you to try this innovative method of moving through time and space. It’s a lot of fun!
