"It is possible to fly without motors, but not without knowledge and skill". - Wilbur Wright
By fate or fortune, I was introduced to Pose through a personal training client of mine at Lifetime Fitness. Up till then, I have competed in running and searched through a panoply of advice, books, and other data on running.
By then I had an understanding that technique has something to do with performance and injury, but a comprehensive, simple, and workable picture wasn't there in any works I researched.
So it would be safe to say that with Pose I found poise in my running.
In the clinics I have done with Dr.Romanov as a student and assistant coach, I have acquired the knowledge to help my clients run with more pleasure as well as speed. And, judging by testimonials, they are grateful, too.
In my training, I focus always on technique of running, as well as specific strength training and heart rate/recovery training in running. All of which are unique to Pose.
I am also certified through NASM and can and have done general strength training.
One of my realizations in Pose has been that stylish technique is not the monopoly of an elite runner, and thus, though competing myself, I don't limit my training to competitors.
The spectrum that I have trained and enjoy training ranges from people who are new to this great sport (and very often pick it up quite quickly) to those have been nagged by injury to those wishing to see a particular time on the clock...
I currently have the pleasure of residing in Minneapolis, MN.
In case anyone is interested, here are my current PRs with the full understanding that they have a way to go and the belief that Pose will help me get there:
Mile - 4:35. 5k - 16:01. 3k - 9:10
The only reason this profile is here is because I want to know what I can do for you. Don't hesitate to ask.
Happy posing,
Vladimir

THE BEST TIME TO LEARN THE POSE METHOD by Nicholas Romanov, Ph.D
For most runners, regardless of experience or ability, adopting the Pose Method of Running will represent a major change in running style. And because runners tend to focus on weekly mileage and P.R.s (personal record times) it can be very tempting to ignore the technique to "get a long run in" or "run a quick 5K."
