ABOUT HIPS

Today's article was prompted by an advertisement on TV about a Class Action Law suit connected to a problematic hip replacement product. Apparently it has caused some serious problems, so if you're among the people that received that hip replacement now you can sue the company. That's great. That's exactly what everyone hoped to hear.

A simple search online revealed that the available hip and other joint replacements do not last too long. For that reason it is advised to not have the hip replacement surgery too early in life, unless it is really necessary. The scary part is that considering how complicated this major surgery is, and the fact that the results are not guaranteed (they do say it is at 90% success rate, well that great for that 90%, what about the other 10%? What if you're among that 10%?), the hip replacement will wear out and it is only a matter of time.

While we can argue the above-mentioned statistics, the truth is, all products that are offered to us today as our body part replacements are incredibly inferior to our real bodies. And it will probably remain this way for some time. We couldn't emphasize more how important it is to make the necessary changes to ensure that you don't misuse your body. It has an incredible ability to heal itself, the best thing you can do is learn to not misuse it. You get a cut and then it heals. You break a bone and it mends itself. You get the picture.

Lots of people have an incorrect understanding of the role of hips in movement. Hips are mistaken for active power producers, when in fact they play a passive role of a bridge between your upper and lower body. Hips are connected to your spine and leg bones, and are the interconnection of all major muscle groups of trunk and legs. Thus, it is paramount to strengthen your hip area so that its inadequate strength does not negatively affect everything else.

The cause of hip problems can be generally summed up as follows:
  • inadequate strength
  • incorrect movement
Your hips are your one most vital point of your entire muscular skeletal structure. They are the biomechanical center of your body, which means that all forces involved in your movements flow through your hips. If you're participating in sports at any level, you should know that weak hips do slow you down, and prevent you from performing at your best.

Compared to all currently available hip replacements, your natural, your real hips can and will recover from most injuries, if you abort the misuse and strengthen them. They were tailor made for you and came with a lifetime guarantee. But that guarantee is null and void, when your hips are improperly used.

The only real solution here is prevention by learning correct movement and strengthening one of the most vital links in the entire muscular skeletal system of a human body - the hips. But as it usually goes, nobody is concerned with a problem until it specifically concerns them. And as usual, the trouble with that is that by the time the problem becomes an individual’s concern - it is a bit late.

We recommend investing your precious time and effort in yourself, here and now. Proper strength conditioning and proper technique for various athletic activities is the only way to go. The Hips and Hamstring Strength Conditioning Exercises Booklet works for athletes of all levels, as well as non-athletes. It contains the most comprehensive collection of highly effective, unique and original strength conditioning exercises for hips. Use them and take care of yourself!
