Arturo Garza wins!
Arturo Garza, won the 2nd. Manzanillo Triathlon that was held March 11, 2006. This is the first event of the 2006 Mexican National Circuit and the first National Team Selection race for the XX Central American and Caribbean Games to be held in Cartagena de Indias, Colombia.
Swim start was at 10:20 am, with Arturo exiting the water in the lead pack and continuing on to be part of the lead pack on the bike. By the time the run leg began it was already 95F, with the run lead in a heated fight between Arturo. Javier Rosas and Eligio Cervantes. With 2 K to go, Arturo surged and held a pace only Eligio could hold on to but not to the end. with 100 mts to go, Arturo kicked in and left him behind, clocking a winning 10K time of 33:33 and a total time of 1:55:04.
