Pose trained athletes get great results at the 1st Handicap Competition of Russia
MOSCOW, Russia/ PTPRESS/ -- Pose athletes get great results at the 1st Handicap Spartakiade of Russia that took place July 24-27, 2007. Trained by Dr.Romanov's former students Valery Vasiliev and
Dr. Andrey Pianzin, and Dr. Romanov himself, the team consists of athletes affected by cerebral paralysis.
Julia Linevich fulfilled the norms of Master of Sports of International Level and also the norms for Beijing Paralympics. She’ll compete in Japan on October 20, 2007 as a Russian National Team member. Julia now has a strong chance of becoming a contender for Beijing Paralympics.
Deaf athlete, Andrey Andreyev, also showed good results, he ran 400m for 51.4 sec (his PR 51.8) and 800m for 1.57.34 (PR 1.57.78). The norm for Master of Sports of International Level is 1.56.74.
In general almost everyone at this Spartakiad either confirmed their best results or improved them. And several athletes set several new records of Russia.
