Cycling Technique - Pose Cycling Change of Support Perception Drill
Elite Mexican triathlete Arturo Garza demonstrates the Pose Cycling Change of Support Perception Drill, illustrating what the drill should look like and highlighting the benefits it provides for your cycling technique.
The Pose Cycling Change of Support Drill should be performed prior to any cycling training routine in order to increase your perception of body weight application to the pedals. What you’re looking for is a a subtle shift in your GCM to align directly above your point of support as you stop at the 3 o’clock position. This will help you maximize the power of your stroke and increase your cycling efficiency by applying all of your body weight to the pedals every rotation. Perform the drill 10 - 20 reps, before sitting back and evenly cycling through your stroke for 5 to 10 seconds. Thanks for watching, we’ll see you next week.
